No meeting? Mirror mode answers you.
When the tab you capture has no audio, JobLander turns the mirror on you: ask any interview question out loud and get an instant AI insight.
No meeting audio yet — so I'm listening to YOU. Ask any interview question out loud. The moment I hear your meeting, I switch back automatically.
Mirror mode in the widget: the sky-blue pill in the header, the SPEAK UP card, and your live “You” captions at the bottom.
When it turns on
Mirror mode starts by itself whenever the tab you capture has no audio — your dashboard, a blank tab, any regular page. The sky-blue “Mirror mode” pill appears in the widget header and the SPEAK UP card invites you to ask. Nothing to press, nothing to configure.
It turns off the moment your meeting starts
The important part: as soon as the captured tab produces any audio that isn't your own microphone — an interviewer speaks, a video plays — Mirror mode switches off automatically and JobLander goes back to listening to the meeting. Practice can never get mixed into a real interview.
How to use it
It's already on
See the “Mirror mode” pill in the widget header? You're set. It turned on because there is nothing else to listen to.
Say a question out loud
Speak naturally. Your words appear as live captions at the bottom of the widget next to the “You” chip, so you always see exactly what JobLander heard.
Read the insight
In a few seconds an insight card appears with a short, actionable answer — the same cards you get during a real interview. The moment meeting audio returns to the tab where JobLander has been launched, it switches back automatically.
Try one of these
Mirror mode shines at questions about structure and technique — things a coach can answer well on the spot.
“How should I structure “tell me about yourself” for a product manager role?”
“How should I answer “what is your greatest weakness?””
“What strong questions should I ask the interviewer at the end?”
Desktop only
The JobLander extension and Mirror mode need desktop Chrome with a microphone. Switch to your computer to try it.
